# Linear integration

> Connect Linear to Islo, understand what it enables, and check which Suggested Lines need it.

Let Agents read planned tickets, investigate issues, write fix tickets, and report results on the originating issue. Linear is optional for onboarding until you choose a ticket workflow.

## Connect in the dashboard

Open [Manage → Integrations](https://app.islo.dev/integrations), select **Linear**, and select **Connect**. You can also connect it in the onboarding wizard's **Connect tools** step.

Authorize access to the Linear workspace that holds the issues you want Agents to read and update. Give a ticket Line the full `https://linear.app/.../issue/...` URL. Mention `@islo-agent` in an issue comment to delegate work after your factory exists.

## Connect with the CLI

```bash
islo login --tool linear
```

Complete the browser authorization, then return to Islo. See [Authentication](/cli/authentication) for team and personal connection scope. Agents use the connected tool through the [gateway](/cli/gateways).

## Which Suggested Lines need it?

**Ship a planned ticket**, **Triage a bug**, and **Plan a ticket** require Linear as well as GitHub. **Review every new PR** only requires GitHub.

Check the requirements shown on the [Suggested Line](/use-cases/suggested-lines) before deployment. Connect a missing tool or choose a Line whose requirements you meet.

## Next steps

Follow the [quickstart](/getting-started/quick-start) to create your first factory. Once it exists, [delegate work](/operate/delegations) from a connected tool or [configure an integration trigger](/concepts/triggers) to start work automatically.
